Welcome to Companion Animal Hospital
Dear Companion Animal Hospital Friends and Clients,
We know that the constantly evolving news surrounding COVID-19 can be scary and a bit overwhelming. With that in mind, Dr. Cashwell would like to let you know about the measures we have taken to do our part in reducing the spread of COVID-19.
Our hours are 8:00am until 6:00pm - Monday through Friday. No Saturday hours at this time.
** WE RESPECTFULLY REQUEST ~~ IF YOU ARE EXPERIENCING ANY SYMPTOMS SUCH AS FEVER, COUGHING, OR RESPIRATORY DISTRESS, PLEASE CONTACT US TO CANCEL ANY PROCEDURES FOR YOUR PET.
AT THIS TIME, THERE HAVE BEEN RARE INSTANCES OF COVID 19 POSITIVE DOMESTIC DOGS AND CATS, BUT THERE IS NO EVIDENCE THAT THE VIRUS IS TRANSMITTED ANIMAL TO ANIMAL OR ANIMAL TO HUMAN, BUT POSSIBLY FROM HUMAN TO ANIMAL. THERE DOES EXISTS THE POSSIBILITY OF THE PET CARRYING DROPLETS FROM AN INFECTED PERSON ON THE SURFACE OF THEIR FUR AND THEREBY PROVIDING A TEMPORARY SOURCE OF INFECTION FOR OUR TEAM. IT COULD POSSIBLY ENDANGER OUR TEAM AND PREVENT US FROM BEING ABLE TO PROVIDE THE CARE THAT IS NEEDED.**
We have instituted an extra layer of cleaning and disinfectant protocols to work in conjunction with our already comprehensive daily cleaning tasks. Common spaces are routinely disinfected throughout the day, as well as hand washing, us of hand sanitizers, and wearing masks and other protective equipment.
Our team members are asked to stay home if they have a fever and remain home until fever free for 24 hours. We kindly ask the same of our clients.
We ask clients who have appointments, but are running a fever to call us to reschedule or to ask a friend or family member to bring their pet to the hospital on their behalf. NO ONE OTHER THAN TEAM MEMBERS ARE ALLOWED TO COME INTO THE BUILDING. Please make an appointment, or if emergency or urgent, call to advise us that when you will arrive.
DO NOT COME INTO THE BUILDING, BUT CALL FROM YOUR CAR IN OUR PARKING LOT FOR INSTRUCTIONS. AFTER ADMISSION INFORMATION IS GIVEN, A NURSE WILL COME TO YOUR CAR AND BRING YOUR PET INSIDE FOR EXAMINATION OR PROCEDURES.Our treating doctor or nurse can speak with the owner over the phone during the exam time to answer any questions and review diagnosis. We will be calling from a phone number not connected to our regular lines, please only CALL OUR REGULAR TELEPHONE NUMBER, especially for any messages. We will take payment over the phone via debit or credit card as we will maintain our no billing policy.
We are strongly encouraging our team and clients to wash their hands frequently, avoid touching their faces and keep a safe distance (6 feet) from anyone coughing. Sneezing and/or runny nose is NOT a symptom and is very common in our area due to allergies and our high pollen count.
For the time being we have instructed our team to refrain from shaking hands, hugging, or any physical contact.
If you need prescription refills, please call our office. We can prepare them ahead for pick up and bring them out to your car. We may also be able to mail some products to you from our office.
If you would like to have your pet's medication or food shipped directly to your home, we have our online pharmacy available for many items. For information, please call our office or go directly to our website: https://companionanimalhospital.vet then click on the Shop Now button on the left side.
The health and safety of our clients, patients, team, doctors and community is always our number one priority. We will do all we can to minimize interaction or contact with other humans.
Please let us know if you have any questions. Be safe and keep positive.
